Reopen Where You Left Off

Quit and come back to the same tabs, splits and projects; servers wait for a click, AI sessions resume.

Anxeb Terminal keeps what is open in every window as it changes: the tabs, how they are split, the tab in front of each group and which one has the focus. On the next start everything comes back the way it was left.

Nothing connects by itself. An SSH session comes back waiting, with its host, "Not connected yet" and a Connect button (Enter does it too), so a start never opens a dozen connections at once. A local terminal starts again in its folder, a file opens at its cursor line, a project opens its tab, a scratch gets its text back.

AI sessions resume their conversations. One that is open in another terminal meanwhile does not: it waits with "Open in another terminal" and a Resume Here button, so two processes never write the same conversation.

Detached windows reopen as windows of their own, each with its tabs. Reopen tabs on start, in Settings → Terminal, turns it off.

What it does

  • Tabs, splits, the tab in front and the focus kept for every window.
  • SSH sessions reopen waiting for Connect.
  • AI sessions resume, unless open elsewhere.
  • Detached windows reopen on their own.
  • A switch in Settings to turn it off.

How it behaves

  • What is kept is written a moment after each change, so even a forced quit loses little.
  • What is gone since (a deleted host, a moved file) is left out and written to the log.

Why it matters

  • Close the app on Friday, pick up on Monday exactly where you were.
  • Safe by default: no surprise connections on start.
