Notifications
A bell in the status bar, quiet balloons and a searchable list of what happened while you worked.
The app tells what deserves attention with a balloon at the bottom right, over the status bar, and keeps it in Notifications. Balloons stay a few seconds, at most three at once, and a click on one opens what it is about. The bell in the status bar shows how many are unread; a click opens the Notifications tool.
What is told: an AI session that goes from working to waiting for the user ("Checkout redesign is done"); a VPN that drops by itself or comes back; a host that stops answering, or answers again; an SSH session that drops; an update ready to install; and the confirmations of the app (a feedback sent, an AI session deleted…). Errors are not: they stay in the Activity Log.
The Notifications tool, at the right, lists them newest first, with an icon and color by kind (success, information, warning), title, message and when. A search box finds them. A click opens what one is about (the VPN, the host, the session, the update) and marks it read; its menu has Open, Mark as Read or Unread, and Delete; the Options menu of the tool has Mark All as Read and Clear All.
A secondary click on the bell offers Mark All as Read and Do Not Disturb, which keeps the notifications but shows no balloons. The same thing again within ten minutes folds into the last one (×2, ×3…). Every window shares the list.
What it does
- Bell with unread count in the status bar.
- Balloons, at most three, that open what they are about.
- Searchable list with read, unread and delete.
- AI sessions done, VPN drops, hosts down, SSH drops, updates.
- Agents: a run that needs you, a run finished, a task waiting for your answer, an answer of the supervisor.
- A sound per kind, chosen in Settings, Sounds (Hael 0, Deep Ding, Hael 2 and Confirm as it ships).
- Do Not Disturb; repeats folded together.
How it behaves
- Kept for 30 days, 500 at most.
- Errors go to the log, not here.
- No macOS notifications: everything stays inside the app.
Why it matters
- Start an agent, go do something else: the bell tells you when it is done.
- Know a server or VPN dropped before you notice.
