Project and Task Assetsnew · 1.6
Files of a project or a task in a tree with columns, opened in the editor of the app or their own.
Every project and every task has Assets: a folder of its own shown as a tree with columns (name, size, kind, created, modified) and the icon of each kind of file. Files are dropped on it, added with + (File, Folder) or with More (Add Files, Show in Finder).
A double click opens a file: text in the editor of the app, in a tab; anything else in the application macOS gives it. A right click has the full menu: open, open with, rename in place, duplicate, copy path, show in Finder, move to the trash. Remote Files uses the same tree for the files of a host.
Agents read and write the assets of the tasks they work on, within what they may do, so a specification or a sample can be handed to them with the task.
What it does
- Tree with columns and file icons.
- Drag and drop, add files and folders.
- Text files open in the app editor; others in their own app.
- Full right-click menu.
How it behaves
- The tree follows the folder: files changed outside show at once.
Why it matters
- Keep the files of a task with the task, where its agent finds them.
